For more than 22 years, Tony Newsom has been a LAPD officer and student & school safety consultant.  Since 1992, Tony has been featured numerous times in theLos Angeles Times, CBS Talk Radio as well as many other well know news publications for his relentless dedication to enhance the overall safety of students and and schools throughout the United States.

After Indiana University Student Lauren Spierer was missing in 2011, Fox News hired Tony to do a Fox Undercover exclusive to show viewers and school officials in their community how to intensify their safety parameters.  Fox News deemed Tony Newsom from that exclusive as a "School Safety Expert."  You can watch Tony's Fox News exclusives by visiting: www.SafetyForSchool.com.   Tony has also authored an entire Student Safety Tips series that can be read for free at that same site.

August of 2008, he and his books were featured on CBS Talk Radio, UCLA’s Daily Bruin News, Arkansas’ 105.7 – The Fix Radio Talk Show and Holder Tonight News Talk Show in Montreal Canada.  Tony was the keynote speaker at the 2009 Arkansas Collegiate Drug Education Committee spring conference, the 2009 Texas School Safety Conference.

Tony also taught educators and school officials on teen dating violence awareness, intervention and prevention at the 2009 National Student Safety Summit in New York.  From 2010-2011 he has also been one of the major keynote speakers at the National School Response Conference in Las Vegas, Florida and Los Angeles.
